Event Description:
Ring in Springtime and join us for a fun morning filled with plant identification and eradication with our friends from the The Mayor’s Ecological Task Force, Blue Ridge Conservancy, Transition Blue Ridge and The Speckled Trout Outfitters. Volunteers will be focusing on identifying and eradicating non-native plants like barberry, oriental bittersweet, and garlic mustard. We’ll be using a variety of eradication methods such as cut and dab, traditional pulling, and root extraction. We’ll form teams to focus on certain species and see who can get the most invasive plants off the property!
