The Ashe County home market in January 2026 shows signs of cooling. Whereas Days on the Market and the list to sell ratio are down, they are only slightly down. The number on the market is down, from 158 to 117 in January. Odds of Selling remain at 55%, at least in part due to less homes on the market for a seller to compete with.
A significant drop is evident in the number sold – from 32 to 17 in January. The number under contract is also down – from 47 to 29 in January.
