High Country Land Market August 2026

The land market also is holding steady. The number of active parcels is up, but just slightly. 56 parcels sold in August, compared to 46 in July.  The numbers sold in each price range were very similar, slightly up, slightly down.  About 20% of the buyers are purchasing in the high end subdivisions [at prices over $170K for a lot] with, I assume, the intention to build a very expensive home in the future.  A couple very large land tracts sold.  For those, it is a matter to waiting to see if the tract will be used for an estate property or a new subdivision.
